In Memoriam: Justin Schaefer

By: Kaitlin Popielarz, MEP Instructor and Guest Blogger

Justin Schaefer came to Mercy Education Project through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. Beginning in the fall of 2014, Justin promised to live with spirituality, simplicity, community, and fervor for social justice with his housemates. It would be in this life of servitude that Justin would learn much about himself while teaching those around him what it means to live life as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

This event is an excellent way to raise money for a worthy cause while enjoying the great game of golf with other socially-minded golfers.  Some say this is the most fun golf outing of the season...

March 2014

MEP held its 8th annual Doorway to the Future Dinner on March 20th at Cobo Center's Grand Riverview Ballroom.   The gorgeous view along the Detroit River on a sunny near-spring day was a perfect backdrop for the event's inspiring program that drew 330 MEP donors, volunteers, students, staff and supporters....
