In Memoriam: Justin Schaefer

Justin Schaefer came to Mercy Education Project through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. Beginning in the fall of 2014, Justin promised to live with spirituality, simplicity, community, and fervor for social justice with his housemates. It would be in this life of servitude that Justin would learn much about himself while teaching those around him what it means to live life as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Mercy Education Project celebrates the graduation of its fall GED graduates on December 14, 2012 from 6:00 to 7:00pm.  Antoinette Green, V.P., Diversity and Inclusion, Trinity Health will serve as our graduation speaker.  MEP volunteers, donors, and friends are invited to join the friends and family of our graduates at this special celebration.

Women in the Advanced Adult Basic Education Program participate in networking with local professional women.


At the end of November, two dozen students from Mercy Education Project’s Women’s Educational Services program and more than a dozen local professional women gathered at Henry Ford College in Dearborn for a day of networking and skill building.
