On Monday, July 20th Mercy Education Project (MEP) hosted the 22nd Annual Side-by-Side Golf Outing at Walnut Creek Country Club in South Lyon. One hundred and sixty eight golfers enjoyed 18 holes of golf followed by a sumptuous banquet dinner and auction with all proceeds benefitting Mercy Education Project.  The event was one of the largest and most successful outings for MEP,...

You Can Help Open the Door to a Brighter Future for Girls in Southwest Detroit

Mercy Education Project is recruiting adult volunteers for an after-school tutoring program for girls in elementary, middle and high school.  We need volunteer tutors to work one-to-one with girls, grades 2-12 on remedial tutoring in reading and math, one day a week, during the academic school year.  A background in education is useful, but not required; training is provided. You select the day, the subject and tutoring time that works for you. ...

On Wednesday, August 23rd, Mercy Education Project (MEP) celebrated our Women's Program Class of 2017 graduates. Keynote speaker, JoAnn Chávez, Vice President Legal & Chief Tax Officer at DTE Energy, offered an inspiring and uplifting speech to the 13 graduates and the auditorium full of friends, family and supporters.
