Side-by-side Golf Outing
Please join us at the 25th Anniversary Side-by-Side Golf Outing on Monday, July 17th, 2017 for an exciting day of golf, fun and friendship at the beautiful Walnut Creek Country Club in South Lyon. Over the past 23 years, Side-by-Side Golf Outings have raised more than a million dollars in support of ministries sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy West Midwest. The Sisters of Mercy community has been dedicated to serving those in need through education, healthcare, housing, pastoral and social service for more than 100 years.
The 2017 event will benefit Mercy Education Project (MEP) located in southwest Detroit. MEP was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1992 to provide educational and life skills support to at-risk women and girls. In all, more than 2,000 students have come through MEP's doors. Services include afterschool tutoring, middle school leadership camp and ACT prep for girls; and adult basic education, GED and career readiness classes for women. Last year 94% of GED students earned the GED certifcation.
