Side-by-side Golf Outing

Please join us at the 25th Anniversary Side-by-Side Golf Outing on Monday, July 17th, 2017 for an exciting day of golf, fun and friendship at the beautiful Walnut Creek Country Club in South Lyon.  Over the past 24 years, Side-by-Side Golf Outings have raised more than a million dollars in support of ministries sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy West Midwest.  The Sisters of Mercy community has been dedicated to serving those in need through education, healthcare, housing, pastoral and social service for more than 100 years.

The 2017 event will benefit Mercy Education Project (MEP) located in southwest Detroit.  MEP was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1992 to provide educational and life skills support to at-risk women and girls.  In all, more than 2,700 students have come through MEP's doors.  Services include afterschool tutoring, college ready programming including, spring break college camp and ACT/SAT test preparation for girls; literacy and adult basic education instruction, GED preparation and career readiness classes for women.

Last year's event, the 23rd Annual Side-by-Side Golf Outing, hosted one hundred and sixty eight golfers who enjoyed 18 holes of golf followed by a sumptuous banquet dinner and auction with all proceeds benefitting Mercy EducationProject.  The event was one of the most successful outings for MEP and netted $72,000 for girls' and women's programs.  You can see a gallery from the event, here.
