Girls’ Programs

The Girls' Educational Programs includes one-to-one academic tutoring and college and career readiness (CCR) programming for girls living in southwest Detroit.  CCR programs include ACT/SAT test preparation, college campus tours, weekly workshops for 11th and 12th graders who are determined to be college bound, and hands-on STEM experiences with our all-girl, competitive FIRST Roboitcs team called Mercy Midnight Storm. Younger students can take a first step into robotics by participating on our Lego League robotics team, the Teeny Tiny Tigers and middle school girls can develop their interpersonal and leadership skills through our summer Emerging Leaders Program.

Women’s Programs

The Women’s Educational Programs improve women's educational outcomes by providing adult basic education, GED preparation and college and career readiness (CCR) programming. The women's CCR program includes an interest inventory, a weekly Lunch and Learn Speakers Series to expose these women to an arry of carrer pathways and destinations, keyboarding and computer essentials instruction, and one-to-one coaching on preparing next step plans, post-GED.
