Women’s Program GED Graduation Ceremony

We celebrated the accomplishments of this year’s fantastic Women’s Program GED graduates on October 5, 2023 at IBEW Local Union 58, just down the street from MEP. Seven of this year’s ten graduates participated in the ceremony, with their families, friends, MEP board members, Sisters of Mercy, community members and staff looking on proudly. Executive Director Mark Mals served as emcee. He called the graduates “heroes,” saying “We celebrate the fact that these incredibly intelligent and courageous women passed these difficult tests, but we also celebrate the many hours, days, and years of learning, studying, and testing they endured to get to those GED testing days.”
